So this past weekend I had to fly to and from San Francisco….
Have I mentioned my overwhelming anxiety and fear over flying? This morning I heard a report that a plane taking off from San Francisco had to make an emergency landing due to some of the plane FALLING APART!!! I am so glad that this did not happen before my trip last weekend. I was already imagining my fiery fall to the ground, the engine blowing up, a crazy person on board demanding to take over the plane, a sudden drop in the sky due to unknown reasons, the passengers including myself all developing Ebola, someone drugging my drink and then being taken advantage of, being abducted while in the airport, the plane blowing up during take off or during the descent, the plane falling apart as I watch from the window….I could go on and on because I have a very overactive imagination or have you not noticed?!
The trip was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience. I traveled to San Francisco on Thursday, did something totally out of my comfort zone Thursday night and during the day on Friday (more details to come on that one in a couple months – to which I will bet you money that you will say “wow!”), saw the sights on Saturday, and traveled back home on Sunday. Needless to say, I am still exhausted.
It was a truly amazing weekend. I cannot wait to share the actual reason why I went, but all in due time loves. What I can share are some incredible pictures that we took during our stay. We had a day and a half to see San Francisco. Actually less than that because…well, we just couldn’t adjust to the time change!
You know you are getting older when you just can’t hang. We wanted to see the nightlife, but sleep seemed more enticing.

As a mother of a four-year-old, sleep is my golden ticket in life. Wanna make me happy? Give me a glass of wine once my little one has gone to sleep and then give me an uninterrupted night of sleep! Simple and done! So this weekend was one of happiness, anxiety, excitement, and laughter (and filled with snoring from my dearest of friends!)
Oh and I might have neglected to mention that if I get too hungry, I become the Wicked Witch of the East sooooo perhaps I need to apologize to my best friend? Or perhaps not because well…she is my best friend and best friends love you through thick and thin. Whether you get get agitated with your best friend or not, snore or not, snap at each other or not, get separated or not, speak or not: your bestie is always there for you….no matter what comes up in life. <3
